The center channel speaker performs the brunt of the work in a home theater system, so it's important to get a high-quality speaker that can handle the heavy demands placed upon it. Definitive Technology's C/L/R2002 is designed with the same rigid standards as their left and right floor-standing speakers, so you can expect exceptional detail and presence with movie dialogue and on-screen action.
It has two 5-1/4" midranges flanking a 1" dome tweeter, for perfectly blended highs and mids. The pure aluminum dome tweeter has a silk surround, so it produces bright, yet smooth highs. Stiff cast-magnesium baskets and an advanced crossover system allow the speakers to achieve more lifelike clarity and a greater dynamic range. And the non-resonant cabinet and flush-mounted drivers provide clean, low-distortion sound.
