The Xbox One 1540 is Microsoft’s follow-up to the Xbox 360. The Xbox One 1540 retails for $499 and comes bundled with the Kinect sensor and Xbox One wireless controller, as pictured here. The console measures 274 x 82 x 333 mm, making it larger than the Xbox 360, and features an internal 2.5-in. SATA 500 GB hard drive and SATA Blu-ray disc optical drive. Games can be played either from the Blu-ray drive or by streaming online content. New features for the Xbox One include the switch to Blu-ray media, dual WiFi antennas, and the ability to serve as an “all-in-one” entertainment hub, made possible by the new HDMI In port. This allows Xbox One users to enjoy games, music, cable/satellite TV, and movies on a single system. The Xbox One runs on a 1.75 GHz 8-core (quad-core x 2), 64-bit AMD “Jaguar” processor, with a built-in AMD Radeon graphics processor and 8 GB DDR3 RAM. Ports include HDMI In, HDMI Out, S/PDIF, three USB 3.0 ports (2 rear, 1 side), Kinect, IR Out, and Ethernet.
