Fisher Research Labs TW-6 Pipe & Cable Locator Transmitter Receiver Kit

Description

The Fisher TW-6 Pipe & Cable Locator is a professional-grade split-box system engineered to detect buried metallic infrastructure—pipes, cables, manhole covers, vaults, and valve boxes—with precision and reliability.

Crystal-controlled dual frequencies (81.92 kHz / 83.1 kHz) deliver stable, interference-resistant operation. Choose between conductive mode for direct hook-up with extended 25–50% greater detection range, or inductive mode for blind searches when access points are unknown. Voltage-controlled audio and visual output scale in pitch and volume across the full detection range, with integrated noise-canceling circuitry to block power line interference and protect signal integrity.

Powered by 16 AA batteries (8 per unit) for approximately 30–40 hours of field operation. Rugged ABS molded plastic construction with non-metallic latches and handles eliminates signal contamination. Total weight under 5.5 lbs keeps the system portable for extended underground utility work.
