Ranging Inc. Rangematic Mark V Vintage Rangefinder

Description

The Ranging Inc. Rangematic Mark V (often designated as the Mark-1000) is a vintage, non-electronic optical rangefinder produced in the 1970s. Designed for hunting and general distance measuring, it relies on optical coincidence rather than batteries.

  • How it Works: Uses a mechanical dial that rotates until two coincident (split) images merge into one. Once aligned, you read the distance directly from the scale.
  • Measuring Range: Capable of measuring distances from 50 to 1,000 yards.
  • Magnification: Features 6x magnification to help pinpoint small targets.
  • No Batteries Required: Operates purely on optics, making it highly reliable in remote conditions without the need for power
